END OF RIVER FESTIVAL! (no pics yet muz wait for Miss Zee)

Finally river fest ended on a high note. The dancers including me really gave our all throughout the final show. Thanks to all my very good frens who came to support me, Zee and Allison, especially those who came twice! Thanks for the flower too. Gonna miss working with all the people for river fest, all the quick change madness behind the screens, makeup & hairdo and costumes.

One crappy thing happened on Friday, one of my performance day. My hamster Monkey died. We had him for about 3 months only. He died cuz his water bottle was empty, but we never realised the empty bottle cuz Monkey usually drinks very little water. Anyway we noticed that Monkey was sick on Thursday. His movement was very slow and he could hardly open his eyes. Poor thing. My bro then brought Monkey to the vet and the vet gave some medicine. The next day on Friday, Monkey died at around 1pm. Very very sad to see Monkey not moving in his cage.

So my bro and I went downstairs to bury Monkey. One stupid thing we did was to put Monkey in a plastic container. As we all know plastic is non-biodegradable. But think cuz we were not thinking logically at that time and just wanted Monkey to be comfortable. We then buried Monkey and I had to cab to theatreworks cuz I was late already. I was a bit emo during my performance but surprisingly Jeremiah commented that Friday's show was one on the best.

So now my bro, sis and I are doing our best to take care of Emote, my another hamster which i got for 5 months already. She very hao3 ming4 lo. Eat till so fat, but she's quite big liao. So think she's gonna die soon too. Oops.

Anyway I went for Jitterbugs Developing Artiste Programme (DAP) last Wednesday. Its a one year scholarship programme that aims to develop each young dancer in terms of technicality, versatility and strength. Only 14 ppl turned up for the audition and they accepted 8 ppl. The audition was fairly simple- 3 types of across the floor, 1 hiphop choreo that required us to freestyle, and one lyrical choreo. Amin, Allison and I got accepted into the programme (Nick too later) and I signed the contract liao. So from next week onwards I will be dancing as a DAPeejbugs. So byebye to my social life. :(

Today I went to JB with Zee, Amin and Charla to find high cut shoes for our Danz War competition. I didn't buy shoes cuz they dun have my size. I bought a MNG top only. We went to eat at Secret Recipe!!! So nice the cakes!! And cheap!! every time I go City Square I sure eat at Secret Recipe. Heehee. After going to JB we went to RP with Nick and YS to practice our dance. RP damn nice lo. Bloody hell.

Finally! I got some free time to blog. Have to go out in an hour's time for my rehearsal at Clarke Quay. Wah lau eh very far for an ooland-kia leh. Ok I have to revise my list of things I wanna buy. I will definitely get my sneakers and also have to pay the shipping charges for my 3 pairs of shoes I ordered from Urbanog.com. Wow all shoe related! Haha. Must faster find job in October.

My purple contact lens arrived! Ordered through clubbertown.blogspot.com that supplies amazing Geo lens. Quite reliable too. They have all the quirky and colourful lens. So girls if u wanna nice lens can order from there. Thing is I dunno how to handle permanent lens.. Dunno how to clean them cuz all along I've been using daily lenses. Shiit.

I think I wanna go put purple hair extensions too. I will be a purple freak soon. Purple eyes... purple hair...

Its free to public to watch! We'll be arriving on those amazing boats with all the crazy lightings. Ya so if u wanna see us come out from the boats and go to the stage can come slightly earlier. The story is how Sang Nila Utama found Singapore yeah.

Things I NEED to get after getting my pay:
1. Sneakers!!! My current ones cannot make it liao. Too many unsightly holes although its worn out enough that I can do like 2 pirouettes.
2. Ticket(bus la not plane) to go Msia. I have to escape from S'pore for a while.
3. One month course at Studiowu?? Since now is study break might as well use the time I have to learn more dance.
4. Full- body massage. Confirm will go for it.

Woke up at 8 plus today with a flu!! Those kind of irritating ones where you keep sneezing like ten times in a row and have a dripping nose. Tried to force myself back to sleep but couldn't cuz I kept sneezing.

So basically I spent the day sneezing around my house and went out for training at jbugs about 4 plus.. Continued to wipe my drippy nose on the train and finally it stopped during practice. Quite little ppl came today and we had to go to Clarke Quay (performance venue) to mark the stage. Left Clarke Quay at 11 plus and we had to rush to catch the train.

I must ask my ma to stock up instant noodles. Very hungry when I reach home.

Danced the whole day
Managed to get first real choreography training during jBugs practice yesterday. Like, finally! We were rehearsing for the mass dance scene, which will be the last act. The 18 dancers were split into 3 groups of Malay, Chinese and Indian and Zee and I got the Malay group. We were grouped with all the super powerhouse people and Zee was telling me "Die liao lar". Then I told her "I'll die more lor". The girls were supposed to wear knee-high boots then I was thinking, how are the girls in the Indian group gonna dance? Cuz they are supposed to stand on their heels. After that the 3 grps are supposed to merge for a final mass dance. So yeah.

After jBugs practice I went straight home to prepare to go St. James with my frens Liyi and Huiqi. Huiqi brought her fren Sok Yee as well. The four of us went to Powerhouse and was quite sian in the beginning. We just grabbed drinks and went to find seats. After midnight the deejays started playing R&B music. Hooray for R&B! The dance floor was super crowded and I was practically pinned to the wall. Sad. Huiqi was super bad. She pointed to a balding uncle who was dancing and laughed openly at him. Lol. We left St. James at 2am and took cab home.

In the cab I nicknamed Huiqi as the Uncle-Killer cuz she kept attracting uncles. Haha!! Okay so my 2nd clubbing experience was okay. Quite fun. Would have been very nice if the dance floor wasn't so packed. Pictures! Unfortunately no photos of Sok Yee.

Had a busy day at home today. I wanted to wake up at 10.30am to read my book but I woke up at 12pm!! I think I slept through my alarm, or perhaps I sub-consciously switched it off.

I had a wonderful shoes spree online!! so excited....
