SA Production is over!

Its simply the best feeling one can get when the show you are part of turns out to be a success. Its even better when you know that your good frens are in the audience to witness the successful show. Thanks Baby Liyi and Sayang Nad for coming down and the flowers you gave created some jealous stares! lol. Lighting was good, sound was good, acting was good and dancing was good! For once I was able to dance like a guy and dress up like one. I even had to wear a beanie and I totally looked like a small junior high boy with cancer, who was trying to act grown up by going clubbing with my cousin Germaine, and gawping at Jess's butt when she and Shah walked into the club, and finally got to pick up a girl (Ervinna) all by myself!

I was very happy when I heard people calling out my name when I danced and I was also glad to play calafare in the seaside scene. Teehee so fun to play ball with Rab! Thanks to my Da-jie Jocelyn for coming own too. And the alumnis I saw... Pris, Fir, Anselm, Zee, Terrence, Hasli, Aisha... It was full-house!

Special thanks to Rabiah and Shaheera for choreographing a smashing clubbing dance. Its a good feeling that one of your last dance you'd ever dance in NYP was choreographed by your 2 good frens. Yep this SA Production marks the end of my involvement in StageArts, and probably the end in Danz Inc. too. Will see circumstance but its time for me to move on. Good bye to StageArts, hello to Singapore River Festival...

My close friends would know that I am very academically-oriented. For the past 7 years I've been trying to balance dance with studies and now its the biggest test of balancing both. The moment-of-truth or some may call it critical point.

Right now I am exhausted. Been skipping classes just to study for tests. I still remember telling my frens proudly in Year 1 that I've always had 100% attendance rate. Now? Verging on getting a warning letter.

It has come to a point where I can't absorb anything at all. It has come to a point where I pick up my book and then putting it down saying "what's the use?". I'm become irritated easily, grumpy mumpy, not playing with Emote nor Neem anymore, stone more often and not feeling hungry even if I have nothing to eat for the past 12 hours.

Dance? My passion for dance is diminishing. Or perhaps dancing in the club. Right now I am slowly pulling away from the club so that I can focus on my studies, as well as recuperate my injured leg. I've let a lot of people down and faced with many disapprovements but all I can say is "I don't care what you think of me anymore". I can't commit as much as I did in year 1 and 2. I will try my best to commit but if I can't please do not force me as I am already giving my best.

Terence is a great instructor and I'm glad that he regards us more as StageArts rather than Danz Inc. because after all these years, I still prefer being bonded with the whole of SA rather than dance alone. Even though Terence came, I still feel that my passion has not reignite.

My close frens and family would also know that I hardly or perhaps NEVER talk about my problems as I do not wish to bother them. Actually these are not problems cuz I'm not looking for solutions. I will find the solutions myself but right now I'll just focus on getting by day by day. Its sorta like a "vent" post that basically, its just an entry. So I'm not looking for people to console me or something, if you have read till this portion I would prefer if you don't comment or just don't mention it cuz I'm not going to mention it anymore although I will continue to face these problems.

Oh no my bro's birthday is coming soon.

Today's the most tired school day of my entire life. Had StageArts Camp on Friday till Sunday and had a dance audition on Sunday. Didn't help that I had an 8am class today.

Camp was alright. Some activities were fun but others were ok. Probably cuz the camp is aimed for the juniors and not really for the year 3s. Here's a brief description of what we did in the camp.

Day 1:
Team building- team name, flag, cheer

Day 2:
PT t 6am, games and water games, 8 hour crash courses (2 hours for each dept), pyjamas night and night walk.

Day 3:
Finale (My group won!! Go Garastas!! We won the war!!!)

I did not get more than 3 hours of sleep for the entire camp. Applaud Nick and Yiyan for managing the dance crash course for 8 HOURS! Not an easy feat as they were super tired, and still had to look energetic. We had the pyjamas night, which is basically to wear pyjamas and the years 3 talked about ghost stories. I did not tell them juniors any. But I only started to recall my stories about lifts only after the pyjamas night. Oh well.

Next was night walk. I was one of the guards to guard the "captured" facilitators from each group. Basically I was stuck at the bottom of block F till 2plus at night, waiting for groups to come to retrieve their facilitators.

I left school at 7am on the 3rd day to go for a dance audition at Jitterbugs. Took taxi to and fro (don't remind me of the $$) and met up with Allison. Only 12 people turned up for the auditions. They needed 26 dancers. I was number 1 -.-" and I had to go into the room myslef to face 3 judges. I had to do my 1 minute of choreo (jazz) and improvised a modern dance with a selected music. The rest of the auditionees were AWESOME. They were ALL at instructorial level and I felt so miniscule. Like dust like that. During the mass choreo I nearly died. Got barrel turns, complicated jumps and Indonesian dance. I'm not sure if i got in cuz the judges were very vague. If I got in I would definitely be given the smallest role. Oh well, at least I'll get paid. :)

Went to Jingwei's house last evening to cut his hair!! It was quite funny... We cut for ages, he got so much hair. But I left halfway to go home for dinner.

So there's my weekend. Very very tired.
