- At work now, trying to look busy. Well, actually I’m busy… Updating my blog! Haha obviously I am smart enough to type this entry in MS Word first so that it looks like I’m working, and then transfer it onto Blogger when my colleagues go for lunch. I am so smart. *beams* But my Pa always says that we shouldn’t praise ourselves, we should let others praise us instead. So people… Faster praise me leh!!! It’s a bit sad to see my colleagues working so hard while I blog. But… It’s quite rational since I only earn one-quarter of their salaries. Still it’s quite sad to see them working so hard for 2k per month only. They worked till 11pm yesterday! And one of them had previously worked overnight! I mean if you compare them to my sister, who has a less powerful University degree (my sis is NUS Theatre Studies, colleagues are NTU Mass Comm), she earns about 3k per month as a Flight Stewardess, flying to HK and JPN and still has free time to nua at home. As my sister says, “I’m a Kong Jie”. My sister wants me to blog about her. She also wants me to upload her photos on my blog. No way arh!! I don’t want to pollute my blog with all the photos of her. I’ll only put cute pictures of Neem and that’s it. Her photos are very macam faham and action; wind blowing hair ah… act cute, act sweet, act bitchy, act like FHM model, act mischievous, act pensive, etc. etc. Better don’t say anymore. - Attachment at Mediacorp. It was a pretty okay first week. I'm attached to Radio Promotions, where there are only 3 other colleagues including my boss. Kinda small but cosy office, and we even have our own hamster! Its name is "Xiao Pang" cuz its quite fat. It loves to sleep all day. So anyway my office is next to the studios of Class95, 987fm and YES933. So its was quite cool to see the deejays on-air throught the glass. Its like on my way to toilet... Hello Vernetta or Jean, hello Shan or Desiree or Roslyn, and hello Peifen or Chong Qing. I do see some celebrities in the canteen. But so far have not gone gaga over any. Hopefully MediaCorp will invite Fahrenheit or something, and I can see them!! Ya, but dream on. What I have to do in my department is to package events for the sales team to sell to get sponsors. So far, it was okay.. Have to draft letters, edit webpages, look for suppliers etc. Quite applicable to what I've learnt in school (effective writing skills, MS Frontpage etc) but not applicable to Marketing! Dorin and Solomon are attached to MediaCorp too. Dorin to Field Marketing and Solomon to Finance. We are lunch buddies, as well as MS Outlook buddies, where we have conversations tell each other how bored we are. Oh I signed up for Calculus. Kinda shocked by what I've done cuz I hate math!!! Its like relieving my nightmare of A.Maths during sec school. Yep, I dropped A.Maths during O'levels so I wasted the exam fees, tuition fees and wasted my time over a.maths. Boo... - "I've fought the good fight, I've finished the race, I've kept the faith" Ok, the above statement is not a pre-obituary message for me, it refers to my exams. IT IS OVER!! HAR-HAR-HAR!! Byebye to studying every freaking minute for the past week. Byebye to waking up in the middle of the night with panic attacks. Byebye to making the disastrously long journey to the sports hall to meet my doom. Byebye to saying "shit" when I flipped open the question papers. Hello to CNY. Hello to red packets. Hello to my manicure session tomorrow. Hello to attachment at Mediacorp( so cool right? OMG I'm going to Mediacorp for my attachment!). Ok I'll admit that I screwed up 3 out of 5 of my exams. I might have to repeat my Biz Finance cuz I totally totally dunno how to do. EMFA and Retail were disastrous. Year 2 modules are rrrrreally challenging and the freaking school never give us our one week study break!! What the hell!!! Really had no time to study. It was that bad that Retail paper was today and I only had time to start studying for it yesterday. Sigh, I shall not dwell on the past. Lemme digress a bit. THIS ARE REASONS WHY I BECAME A PURPLE CRAZE!!  Purple bed + purple bear  Purple painted living room wall (you can see the contrast with the white ceiling)  Purple bedroom doors  Purple wardrobesA life surrounded by the colour purple. How cool. During my mundane study period, Neem was kinda sad that I didn't play with him. He kept on bugging me to take photos of him. He loves to cam-whore!! I relented and took some shots to make him happy.

Hopefully I will be able to skip school for a week to go to New York! Then I can go to Times Square, Saks fifth avenue, Bloomingdales, Barneys, Sephora etc etc and all the cool places which I always read about in chick novels. Maybe I can check out if there are any Dance workshops in New York, then I can try to go for it!! I hope I can attend workshops by all the cool SYTYCD choreographers and maybe by Nick, Blake or Ashlé. But I better don't hope too much. Gah. Monday, February 04, 2008
