My day at LADC:

I went for their Open House with Amin, and met Rene, Melvin, Benji and junior Ezann there too. Shaheera came later. Went for 5 lessons, 45 minutes each.

FUNKY TURNS:
It was more of a technique class. We did across the floor- pirouettes, croises and chaines. So easy lah. But good that we can prac our turns. Yay.

STREET JAZZ:
We did a short choreo. It was actually my favourite choreo cuz its fun and easy. We did 4-8s.

SEXY JAZZ:
Also very fun. We danced to Buttons by Pussycat Dolls. Very Girls styling!!

HIPHOP:
My worse class cuz I can't catch up with the choreo. Level 2 mah. Plus I super stiff throughout.

BALLET:
Another class which focuses on techniques. I went for this class alone. I did barre-work and centre-work. Learnt all the arms and feet positions, tendus, petite allergos, port de bras. Actually I know all these exercises but it was good as I can recap my ballet techniques.

I've initially typed out a long story about my day today. But I deleted it and decide to keep this entry short and sweet.

Here's my summary of today, in order of happenings:

1. Woke up at 6.30am for call-centre interview

2. Screwed up my interview

3. Practiced the annoying Beyond Legends with Amin

4. Went to Sports Hall to watch Danz Inc. and BE performance for the Suzhou people

5. Practiced Salsa Hip hop with Juniors

6. Went home

Its better to type it out in point form, isn't it? More convenient. ;)

Damn freaking angry! I found a *%@*#& cockroach in my room last night, just before I wanna go and sleep. Took over an hour to source for the idiot creature but couldn't find it. So in a desperate attempt, I slept with the windows opened and burn a stinky mosquito coil. Not sure whether it worked though. But luckily the cockroach have not appear till now.

Received a call from SBM Call Centre late Tuesday. I was posted to CSC (Call centre) for my next attachment, but I have to go for an interview for a place at UOB, instead of working in school. Hence I took a whole day yesterday doing up my CV, otherwise known as Curriculum Vitae. While doing up my CV, I felt very sad as I realised that I got so little achievements throughout my 18 years. One and 3-quarters page long only!! Astonishingly, I found out that throughout my secondary school and current institution, I did almost the same things. Dance, dance and more dance. Haha, just that its in a different genre.

Doing up my CV also makes me realised that achievements are just small figments of one's life. It is easy to forget what you've done, and it felt weird to see my CV, like "you mean I did all this?". Felt so weird la. Anyway, moving away from my CV....

After looking through all my previous posts, till my very first entry in this blog, I realised that I predicted super accurately! Of the things that are happening now, that sounds weird but that's true. I also realised that I was very quite shallowly (is there such a word?) academically focused. But I was happier when I was in year one. Sad la, hardly see the caramel-gang anymore.

Yay, finally can have a properly proper break. The start of waking-up-at-11am-and-slack-at-home-the-whole-day-with-a-book-and-probably-stuffing-my-mouth-with-snacks period is gonna start tomorrow! Time to gain weight and be couch potato! Can't wait to slowly read Deathly Hallows without any speed reading till I nearly had migraine.

Today's the last day of my work. I was kinda happy and sad to leave that place. Happy cuz I don't have to stone at the counter for 7 hours anymore. Sad cuz I'll miss my place of stoning and the people there.. Kinda enjoyed working with them. Funny la, they called me Xiao Mei instead of my name. But they actually dunno my name. Haha. Anyway I was happy for them that they managed to hit their sales target of the day at late afternoon, so at least they can relax a bit, instead of me stressed over them stressing over the stress of achieving the sales target. If you get what I mean anyway.

Things I wanna do over my break:

1. Read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at least 5 times.
2. Go out with Michelle for shopping and watch HP again
3. Catch up with Lady Ruby
4. Go Serangoon Chomp Chomp with Beiyi
5. Rent and watch movies so as to use up my membership which the ppl forced me to signup (bloody hell)
6. Finish choreo-ing my solo
7. Choreo a new short contemporary choreo

The long-awaited break has finally begun!! A short but sufficient break for me to recharge before going for 9 weeks of attachment again.

I'm currently working at a roadshow in a shopping centre, taking care of the cash register. Its kinda boring. No scratch that- Its very boring, as there are hardly any customers around. However, I do not have much complains as I finally learn how to handle card transactions!! So happy, at least I am able to walk away with a useful skill.

Dance as usual, super stress. But a good wakeup call for me to really drill and improve on my techniques. Unfortunately I injured myself, pulled my left-inner thigh muscle YET AGAIN. It was so frustrating as I always try too hard to reach my highest limit but end up going over the limit. This injury takes a long time to heal, and I am afraid it will hinder my dance for long-term. I've already decided not to dance for the upcoming performance due to my injury. Hopefully I will recover by dance camp, coming soon.

I wanna go to the LADC Open House!!!

First of all, I wanna wish my junior Germaine HAPPY 17 BIRTHDAY!!!! Wah wear till so pretty today, even I kept looking at you!! Sorry ah I a bit lesbian. Hm... Went for nice dinner never invite me! Hmph! JK la... Wait you cry.... :D

(Looks down) I realised that my previous entry was super depressing. What to do, its the truth mah. Fortunately the stress level has went down slightly, though I'm still handling the same amount of stuff. I'm looking forward to end of next week, when most my crazy stuff will calm down.

My break from school has started and thank goodness, I was able to sleep a little bit more. I was late for project meeting today cuz I forget the time I was supposed to meet them. Felt so guilty when I arrived for my project but managed to redeemed myself a bit after I chiong-ed the report. It was so weird la, my two project group mates were at different locations so I had to run around from the library to the free access lab to check on both my project groups.

After project meetings I went to Block E level 4 to find Nick and Amin, who were supposed to practice dance lor (but they were not when I went there... ). Anyway I found then at the clubroom area. Germaine the birthday gal drop by too, in her pretty dress and I bet she attracted the attention of the two guys there la!! Lol . :P We practice a little bit of dance, did some choreo and across the floor. But afterwards Amin went off and Germaine, Nick and I went back to the clubroom for the air-con. So nice to just slack in the clubroom. After Germaine went off, Nick when to buy some food and introduced me prata. Nice sia, the pratas. My favourite is the egg mushroom prata. I should try other type of pratas next time.

So that's it, the end of my boring day with a lot a lot of reports and kao-pehs. I can't wait to see Liyi tomorrow and kao-peh to her about our favourite topic!!

In the midst of projects yet again. No doubt I prefer projects to exams, but its kinda hard to rush reports, power-point slides, and writing scripts all-in-one. Thank god I have great teammates who are fully committed into the projects.

I came home last night bleary-eyed with a slight headache. Received a big F during dance practice. Things just can't seem to go the correct way in a smooth path. There's always obstacles jarring and creating holes along the way. So far plans have been upsetted and we are picking up slowly, bit by bit. One thing that I was frustrated and annoyed about was that my efforts was not seen, just being dismissed with scoldings. My carefully planned and structured idea was being dissolved. I am pissed off because I have tried my very very best to spend as much time over it within a short period, carefully formalizing it. I put my studies on a thin thread and it was actually going to be a repeat of what had happened during my attachment. I am jeopardizing my studies, researching till the wee hours just the night before my dance assessment, and why should I be getting what I got?

Worse off all, I'm pissing people off. I know. I can sense what goes through their mind and I know they are blaming me. I know they are trying not to blame me but they still feel pissed off as they are being F-ed by their decision which involves me. I did too much things. I overstepped the boundary. But shouldn't I help if there's no one there to help? Why should I be reprimanded if I offer to help?

According to Peter my choreo was pretty good and he wanted to me to do up a 2 minute piece. But I was too pissed off to feel even feel a single speck of elation.

Only thing I'm looking forward to is this evening's Thank-You reception for the musical. I can't wait to see people I've been with during my musical journey.

Ok, I'm going to dedicate this entry to my new idol, Muhammad Zulhilmi Bin Mohd Nasir AKA Zul AKA Mr. "Underwear".

It was so so damn fun after dance on Thursday night. Zul drove Pris, Di, Liyi, Ervinna and I home!!! Yes!! Mr Zul!! That guy in StageArts Danz Inc.!! After dance that night I randomly called out to Zul to go home together. Then he replied that he drove to school and I was damn shocked and stunned sia... Then I asked him if I could sit his car, he said ok. Somehow my big-mouth spread the news and in the end, Zul brought us 5 excited gals to his car! And its 8-seater lor, though its Zul's family's car. Liyi and I were laughing at the back seat, unable to believe that Zul was really driving us home. It was a pleasant journey and we had lots of fun exploring the expressways in Singapore as we were lost. We were super duper hyper. One-by-one, the gals alighted and I was the last to alight. So sorry to Zul that he wasted so much petrol on sending us 5 gals home. We will buy u a present de!! Don't worry!!!

So that's it. For more details on the night we 5 gals spent in Zul's car (ok, that sounds wrong), go to Liyi's blog. :)

Finally in the mood for some bloggamation. Yes yes, I know my blog is kinda collecting dust so this entry is gonna help to clear the dust off!!

Many interesting things happened over the past weeks. SAO is organizing a Thank-you reception for the danceALIVE! performers! Yayness, so nice of them to do that. The best thing is that we'll each be given a DVD and photos of our performances!! Ah... The memories...

Academic side, I took 2 tests and I'm not sure how I did. Firstly, the Customer Service questions were kinda ambiguous la, so stupid, kinda like moral education. Next was Project Management, which was kind of difficult. Hopefully I would be able to get decent grades!!

Yesterday was the best time I had for the entire week!! I went to the National Stadium to watch a s
occer match. Singapore vs. Australia. After a quick meeting in school with StageArts, I met my sis and bro at Toa Payoh station and took a cab to the stadium. It was very hot when we arrived at the stadium. My brother led us to the centralized seats, which was more than 3-quarter filled at 5pm, exactly 2.5 hrs to the start of the match!!

My sister then went off to buy drinks, cuz we were not allowed to bring bottled drinks to the stand, some stupid FIFA regulations. According to her, the queue snaked till far far away, which wasn't a surprise.

Ngee Ann Poly's Magnum Force and TKSS's military band put up some pre-match enterta
inment. And afterwards, there was a friendly match between ex- Singapore international players and ex-Malaysia international players. Kinda interesting to see lotsa blading people running about on the pitch. But on a more respectful side, these guys were pro and still a pro!!

TKSS Military band

Line-up -Singapore in blue, Malaysia in yellow

Match progressing in the sun

Of cuz, we can't possibly look at the pitch the whole time. I noted that the scenery was pretty good, so I took some shots of it.

The sky above our National Stadium

Around 5pm

Sun's going down!!!

Still setting...

And finally, dusk

Apparently, Singapore decided to show our support in the sky. Thanks to these planes for more pre-match entertainment.

Flagging our country's flag

Fighter jets!!

Finally fiiinally at 7.15pm, the players assembled on the pitch. The people around me were getting more and more excited, searching for Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell, the two international stars. The match kicked-off at 7.35pm!!!

Our players warming-up before the match. They looked like small chilli padis!!

Both teams warming-up before the match

Starting line-up of Australia and Singapore

Kick-off!

First S'pore corner taken by Shi Jia Yi

First Oz corner taken by dunno-who

Eventually Aust beat S'pore 3-0. Sad life, cuz it could easily been 2-2 if we the shots had not hit the goal posts, and if Lionel Lewis did'nt fumbled during Aust first goal. During the match, the Malay guys behind me were super rowdy and sore loser. Since the start of the match, they've been making silly no-brainer comments. But actually, somewere quite funny, like "Go home and play with barbie dolls!!". There was a super obnoxious Aust guy who was gloating at the spectators after each goals. We were super mad la and I was fighting the urge to stick out my middle finger in his direction, but that wouldn't be nice.

After the whole match, there was the closing ceremony. The only thing I looked forward to was the fire-works. So nice!! And thanks to my super good photography skills, eh not easy to take with a hand-phone camera with no flash function hor!!!

Yayness

So colourful!!

Yayness no. 2

Explosive wheel!!!

Gold showers

So that's it from my National Stadium adventure. Goodbye stadium, goodbye team Australia. Enjoy the pics!! My HP no more battery liao.
