END OF OPEN HOUSE 2007
Today's my first rest day in a week. I have been busy preparing for Open House 2007 and was glad that its over!!! Let me tell you more about my memories of Open House 2007...

Pre-Open House
Obviously this was the period where there were lots of shoutings and stress. The combination of dance practices and rehearsals took up loads of time but luckily I had completed my assignments prior to this stage. Dance practice nearly became a nightmare for me and I was mentally going through my steps over-and-over again. As usual my short-term memory did not helped me at all and I worked doubly hard to mark my positions.

Open House Day One
Did not get enough sleep the night before as I was again mentally going through the steps. I arrived at Block E level 3 for our pre-makeup prectices, all flustered and red-faced. I had earlier waited for Liyi at Sembawang to go to school together but she was late, so I went to school first.

To my dismay I was 3 minutes late, which wasn't such a big deal, but I was the one who planned the time. Turned out that Liyi wasn't late, she overslept. So there were a lot of commotion and stress whereby I called Liyi to urge her to reach school asap. After a few rounds of practices with Lyi, we went to the Clubroom to get our makeup done.

We all looked really nice with makeup and I really want to thank the makeup team for dolling us up prettily. Our performance slot was at noon, and we immediately proceeded to the atrium, which was our performance venue for Open House.

After our performance we were free to roam about before our usual dance practice at 6.30pm. Jocelyn (Da Jie), Beiyi, Liyi, Shaheera and Ervinna went to the Fastfood canteen for some light dinner nd we ended up talking a lot. We talked about balancing dance with our schoolwork and Da Jie really gave us good advises regarding dance. We had a short dance prac and Liyi and I went home with Zul.

Open House Day Two
This was a much relaxing day. Liyi and I arrived on time for our usual pre-makeup practice and did the same makeup for our performance. We performed the best on that day and I was pretty happy. Lina was there, so was Beepeng and Florence.

Open House Day three
Things started to go wrong from the moment I opened my eyes. I overslept!!!! I had forgotten to set my alarm the night before as I crashed out before I rememebered to set my alarm. I woke up at 8.40am and I was suposed to meet Liyi at sembawang station at 9am. I rushed around the house like a maniac and went out flip-flopping down the stairs. I hailed a cab as I was very late. Halfway into the journey I looked down at my feet and reaslised that I was wearing slippers. I had locking performance that day and needed my shoes!! I made some desperate phone calls to people to borrow shoes but none of them can spare me any. I arrived at school all flustered and had no choice but to call my sister to get her to meet me at Woodlands station to pass me my shoes.

I flew to Woodlands and Back to school. Peter and the locking performers played a prank on me. Peer pretended to be angry at me and went I arrived, all of them were laughing at me. Grr... lol. I was in time for makeup and after that, we went to the atrium to watch the HipHop Hunt.

Dance Inc. sent two teams to compete in HHH, comprising of girls team and seniors team. The girls team did not finished with any placing, but their perofrmmance was much much better as cmpared t the Countdown@ BoonLay. The seniors team came in 3rd and they were so good that I cheered for them till my voices nearly broked. Both teams did great and i am proud that they brought glory to Dance Inc.

We had our usual performance at around 4pm. I did a major mistake in my performance but WHO CARES??? ITS OVER!!! I liked the locking performance a lot as we looked so colourful, plus our mood was on a high.

After our performance we rested in the studio. Liyi had to rush off with her church friend. The rest of us dancers and Peter went to Junction 8 Pastamania to have dinner. Da Jie, Beiyi, Fir, Ervinna and I shared a table and we ordered many yummy food. We deserved a good dinner after days of hard work. I left Pastamania extremely satisfied. We had some group shots at a corner of Junction 8 and played some stupid things with or fingers. I went home with Fir, Zul, Rad1 and Shaheera.

Overall I am glad to be involved in this Open House 2007 as I made some new friends, plus I get to perform in school. I can't wait for musical and Clubcrawl, but not the trainings! Haha!!!

BACK TO OLD ROUTINE
Back to the waking-up-early-to-go-to-school-for-lessons routine. Groan people, groan.

I love the monh of January. Here's the reason:

1. My birthday
2. All the kids are gone back to school so that leaves the shopping malls free.

Actually it ain't much, but this are the 2 reasons why I love Januarys. I especially liked this year's Jan as had one of the best birthdays ever. Thanks to those who wished me Happy Birthday. :)

Plus I can now go shopping without having to elbow people out of the way. Or accidently step on their foot, or bump into them, or smack them with my big bag.

I am currently in the midst of running helter-skelter to complete my projects, attempt at tutorials, and the non-existent preparation for exams. I am so dead. The lessons are getting more and more challenging and I am struggling to keep pace with the modules.

I've started working at SBM E-Plaza a couple of weeks ago and I think that that's the slackest job ever. I can do my own things and chat away like nobody's business, but the downside of it is that its kinda boring. But hey, I'm getting paid for it.

Stagerts Dance aka Dance Inc. is taking up more of my time this few weeks. We are focusing on Open House 2007, but we have so many more events coming up, like the Club Crawl and NYP Musical. I hope this will not affect my studies so I'm currently in a tussle between using more time to practise dance or study. I guess the latter then.

NO ANT BULLY
My room is infested with ants. Typical.

I was lying on my bed yesterday went I felt the freaking ant crawling on my face. I immediately ended the ant's life with a satisfying "piak!" and wiped it off my face. I found 2 more ants trying to seek comfort on my bed. Yeah right, to hell you go.

I am addicted to eBay now. Things I've bought from eBay (inclusive of postage cost):
1. Swarovski earrings ($8.50)
2. Purple bangle ($3.90)
3. Retro belt ($5.00)
4. A&F hotpink shirt ($10.00)

And from Yahoo auctions:
5. Giordano white sweater ($11.00)

I think I am broke now, but I've stopped my online shopping spree. As all of you know, I'm the "Most Controlled Shopaholic". *wink*
